The finished product.

This is a finished commission for ~ArilahVirgon, I'm really pleased with how it came out. That desk was a pain in the ass. The background I wasn't even gonna bother with, so it's just a simple flag pulled off of Google.

When I pulled the flag off Google, I didn't see any name on it or anything. I just now found the artist; the background is the property of ~Al-Zoro.

And, well. Yeah. This is the incomplete version I posted a few days ago:

This is positivly gorgeous! You did a very nice job on this using a lot of different textures that work well for Prussia- especially since he's a Nazi. Honestly, you're doing well on a lot of things with your work. Your strong points definitely are clothing, physique and coloring/blending. However, I'd work on your expressions more (as do I- You're not the only one) and I'd like to see more coloration on the furniture.

But other than that, very lovely! Thank you for sharing this art! O UO (I'd put in the stars for like... originallity and what not but this is fanart... so it's difficult...

While I think it's a good drawing, I think that nazi fan art in general is very respectless and nothing that should be encouraged. To portray something that basically cost millions of peoples lives in a way that doesn't say that it is wrong is very tasteless in my opinion.

I think that it's really a matter of personal view. While I am disappointed you find my taste lacking, Nazism exists outside of the Holocaust. Many Nazis lead fully normal lives to this day, and while I do not approve of their beliefs, I do not look down upon the people themselves. This piece is not a reference to the Holocaust of WWII. This is simply an expression of Nazism within the Kingdom of Prussia. It is no different than if I produced a piece of art revolving around feminism, ecology, or Pastafarianism. It is simply an ideology.
Don't get me wrong, I see exactly where you're coming from. I just have a different outtake on it than others.

While this is a matter of personal view, just like you said, it is also something I know can upset people. Even if this picture isn't directly linked with the Holocaust, Nazism is, and I'm certain people with backgrounds linked to WWII could be react badly. Even though Prussia does not exist anymore, there are still persons who have backgrounds from it, and to draw something that represents their country with a belief that killed millions is very insensitive.
I don't think it's a good idea to mix a silly series with political movements or beliefs at all, but Nazism is worse than your other examples because of the massive damage it has caused history less than a century ago.
What I really just want to ask you to do is put an 'ideologally sensetive' warning at it, and I'm sorry for ranting.
